Collaboration with company Dr.-Ing. Georg Wazau Meß + Prüfsysteme GmbH and Berlin Technical University
Professor Juozas Padgurskas from the Institute Power and Transport Machinery Engineering had the visit to Berlin (Germany) for training purposes on 2-6 July 2018. The aim of the training in the company Dr.-Ing. Georg Wazau Meß- und Prüfsysteme GmbH and Technical University Berlin (TUB) was the exchange of experience in the field of tribology.
Managing Director of the Company Dr.-Ing. Georg Wazau Meß- und Prüfsysteme GmbH Thomas Reinheimer introduced with company products, quality assurance system, discussed the opportunities for joint research projects. It was introduced tribological testing of materials and acquired the information in the field of petroleum and biological lubricants, materials for various loading conditions.
The purpose of the visit in Berlin was also to establish scientific contacts with scientists working on tribology issues at Technical University Berlin. TUB is one of the leading technical universities in Germany. The tribological research in TUB is concentrated at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Transport Systems. The partner for the visit was prof. V.Popov who is heading the Department of System Dynamics and Friction Physics. Prof. V.Popov from explained the study process at the university, carried out research projects, and introduced the equipment available to Department of System Dynamics and Friction Physics. During the visit, the prospects for developing joint projects and the possibilities for developing cooperation between universities within the framework of the ERASMUS + program were discussed.
