Professor of the Faculty of Economics and Management and Director of Business and Rural Development Management Institute dr. Jan Žukovskis and Lecturer dr. Rasa Pranskūnienė under ERASMUS+ programme provided lecturing at Faculty of Tourism, Eskişehir Osmangazi University in Turkey on 1-5 of October. Prof. dr. Jan Žukovskis’ gave lectures dealed with agricultural business and rural development policy and administration for students of the Tourism faculty. Dr. Rasa Pranskuniene‘s lectures dealed with culture and tourism management. The visit and stay in the Faculty of Tourism, Osmangazi University served as the continuation of long-term cooperation between the faculties and departments of the host and home universities and, thus, additional tasks were to examine mutual needs and possibilities to plan better future teaching involvement and cooperation both in academic and research fields. During the meetings with the Faculty representatives were talking about joint study programs and scientific projects
Prof. dr. Jan Žukovskis and dr. Rasa Pranskūnienė, participated in the 11th International Tourism Outlook Conference: Heritage Tourism beyond Borders and Civilizations“ held on 3-5-th of October in Eskişehir, Anadolu university. This conference was the eleventh in the “Tourism Outlook Conference“ series, and being held established or hold in Southwest Asia for the first time. With its origin in Malaysia, previous conferences have also been held in Indonesia, China and Sri Lanka. The theme of the conference is Heritage Tourism beyond Borders and Civilizations and focuses on the challenge of heritage conservation and development in the context of tourism. Major Themes of the conference were: Heritage Tourism, Environment and Tourism, Economics and Business in Tourism, Gender and Equity in Tourism, Indigenous Communities, Culture and Tourism, Security, Migration and Health Issues in Tourism, Human Resources, Education and Scholarship in Tourism.
