The representative of Aleksandras Stulginskis University International Department Agnė Gribėnaitė on 7 – 9 June 2017 was participating at the IROICA Conference at BOKU ‘Halfway through ERASMUS+ adventure’ in Vienna, Austria.
During the training visit the main objectives of the mobility were to focus on the intercultural programs in academic communities, intercultural communication, potentials of ERASMUS+ cooperation with partner countries, as well as on challenges that higher education faces during the immigration wave. During the conference there were workshops about different topics such as ‘Inclusion and Citizenship Initiatives in Higher Education’; ‘Security Issues for Incoming and Outgoing students and Staff’. Moreover, participants have attended to the vocational trainings such as ‘How should IRO’s manage diversity of students and staff” and ‘Erasmus without paper’.
Furthermore, the first day of the training visit there were arranged meetings with the Staff from different Departments (University and Research Center Tulln, Department of Agrobiotechnology, ‘Bioresources and Technologies’, Department of International Relations) of BOKU in the Campus in Tulln.
Finally, the last day of the training there were IROICA Conference wrap up session by the president of the IROICA.
This visit will initiate collaboration the same as improve skills, competence and collaboration in planning of students and research staff exchange between partner universities.
