FROM MICROCREDIT TO MENTORING

One of the factors that influence Latvian rural development is the level of entrepreneurship development. It is not sufficient to involve the workforce that has emerged in agriculture. It is im­portant to prepare rural population for business activities. One of the methods applied in recent years to involve rural women in entrepreneurship is the microcredit movement that has created the basis for the development of mentoring activities in Latvia.
