On December 12 – December 17 the vice-dean assoc. prof. dr. Vilda Grybauskienė from the Faculty of Water and Land Management visited the Faculty of Life Sciences in Humboldt-University at Berlin (https://fakultaeten.hu-berlin.de/en/lewi-en/start_lewi?set_language=en).
Under the agreed program with Faculty Erasmus coordinator prof. dr. Frank Riesbeck, on 13th of September an open lecture for master students, who are studying in „Agricultural economy“ study program, was given. Over 20 master students and 2 faculty representatives attended the lecture. At the lecturing time there was a short presentation about Aleksandras Stulginskis university, then more than four academic hours were given for the „Special drainage“ course.
On the same day was organized the visit to Faculty laboratories and a short presentation about work organization in labs was given. As a good example from these meetings can be mentioned official involvement of active students to laboratory work for 1 year period.
After the discussion with the vice dean of studies prof. dr. h.c. Frank Ellmer the main expectation on Fishery and Aquaculture technology study program collaboration on master level was agreed on. The whole day was given for visiting the Institute of Fresh Water Ecology and Fisheries (http://www.igb-berlin.de/en/masters-programme). This institute together with Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin gives Master’s programme, which is focused on the confluence of aquatic sciences, sustainable ecosystem management and food production.
The big area with open ponds and closed circulation fish growing system was visited.
