On the 4-7th of July assoc. prof. dr. G.Vaznonienė and I.Kiaušienė from Business and Rural Development Management Institute have attended international Joint World Conference on Social Work, Education and Social Development 2018 (SWSD 2018) in Dublin, Ireland. This conference was organized on behalf of the International Federation of Social Workers, The International Schools of Social Work and the International Council on Social Welfare. The conference venue was in The Royal Dublin Society place. The participation was supported by the European Social Fund under the No 09.3.3-LMT-K-712 “Development of Competences of Scientists, other Researchers and Students through Practical Research Activities” measure.
This conference involved more than 2000 participants from 99 countries, there were 15 sections based on different topics. Representors from ASU made presentations in different sections. G.Vaznonienė made presentation „Social benefit of social infrastructure services to local community wellbeing” in the section „Engagement with people who use services“ and I.Kiaušienė made presentation „The assessment of older people participation in the labour market“ in the section „Income, wellbeing, employment & poverty“. All participants took part in discussions, exchanged their experience on the presented topics.
During the conference there were various spaces prepared for the different activities: keynote speakers halls, learning room, oral and poster presentations spaces. After every section presenters were asked to give their feedback about the section work on the specific boards or papers.
