Vice-dean of the faculty of Water and Land Management assoc. prof. Vilda Grybauskiene and vice-dean of the faculty of Economics And Management assoc. prof. Bernardas Vaznonis participated in the international week „Talent Development & Diversity“ organized by Odisee University College (Belgium).
The international week was held in Brussels and Ghent 27-31 of March. About 60 scientists and members from international departments’ staff from different countries (Lithuania, Russia, Poland, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, England, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Turkey, Cyprus, Croatia, Bulgaria, China and other) took part in the international week. Lithuanian group was the biggest team consisting of 8 persons from 5 universities – Aleksandras Stulginskis University, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuanian Sports University, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Klaipeda University.
The objective of international week was to provide an interdisciplinary and creative discussion environment for disclosing talents, generating new ideas and initiatives. The big attention was given for ethnic and cultural diversity, improvement of intercultural communication skills.
During international week activities were spread over our different campuses in Brussels, Ghent and Aalst. The international week activities had the following elements: plenary presentations, lectures, group discussions using a brainstorming format, workshops, closing presentations.
It is needed to mention that international fair was organized on purpose to present and advertise the participating universities/university colleges.
The most useful part of the international week was to get acquaintance with the experience of Odisee University College about study organization, student facilities and administrative services, mobility and carrier opportunities.
