Professor Vytenis Jankauskas and PhD student Egidijus Katinas from Institute of Power and Transport Machinery Engineering visited University of Technology (School of Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering) in Tallinn. Professor had a possibility to use an “Erasmus+” exchange program (Staff Mobility for Training).
During the visit it was exchanged of ideas on future education and research cooperations, improved the academic relations between departaments and established the background for future collaboration. It was discussed about reform of Estonia education system, requirements for personel of university and etc.

Dr. Maksim Antonov is colleague with prof. V. Jankauskas about 10 year. He is a head of Tribology and materials testing laboratory. This specialist managed for this “Erasmus+” program.
A lot time was dedicated to discus of education and science situation in Lithuania with emeritus prof. Priit Kulu. Previous time he was dean of Mechanical faculty.
During the visit the good possibility to receive and exchange the specific and new information from lecturer Iztvan Riho from Czech Republic and dr. Igor Konyashin from Germany of „Erasmus“ exchange program were get.
School of Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering was familiarized with newest equipment of institute which is continually renewing. There are modern and historical equipment in some laboratories (left – Wazau GmbH tribotester, right – one old balance from collection).
