ASU lectors participated in the 2nd International Conference on Food and Agricultural Economics in Alanya

Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management prof. Astrida Miceikienė, Director of the Institute of Economics, Accounting and Finance prof. Vilija Aleknevičienė and prof. Vlada Vitunskienė participated in the 2nd International Conference on Food and Agricultural Economics in Alanya, Turkey on 27-28 of April. There were the representatives from more than 20 countries in the world. The visits of prof. V. Aleknevičienė and prof. V. Vitunskienė were financed by the Research Council of Lithuania. V. Aleknevičienė made oral presentation on the topic “Drivers and Pathways of Shifting from Fossil-Based to a Sustainable Bio-Based Economy”, and prof. V. Vitunskienė – on the topic “Consumer Food Waste in Lithuania: Concerns and Causes”. Prof. A. Miceikienė made poster presentation “Assessment of Value-Added Tax Effectiveness”. Prof. V. Aleknevičienė and prof. A. Miceikienė moderated the sections of the conference. The professors made the contacts with the researchers from Cambridge University, University of London, researchers from various institutions in Turkey, Bulgaria, Hungary and other countries
