Welcome speech at International lectures by the Dean prof. Vjekoslav Tanaskovikj, Faculty of Agriculture and Food, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje
Water management in agriculture had special attention from ancient ages till nowadays. The water does not consider the borders of countries and plays huge role in sustainable Agriculture. Climate change and water scarcity is main challenges facing nowadays farming systems. Sharing knowledge on latest technologies and engineering solutions is particular important despite different regions. With such attitude the teaching visit to Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje was organized during 16-20 of October 2017. Lectures of “Water Management in Agriculture” by assoc. prof. Laima Taparauskiene were introduced to the students of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food.
For the occasion of its 70 years anniversary, the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje were organized several international lectures with possibility to visit them, as well on 19-20 of October was organized a 3rd International Symposium for Agriculture and Food (ISAF 2017), offering possibility for presenting novel and fundamental advances in the field of sustainable agriculture and food production. Dr. Laima Taparauskienė and lect. Otilija Miseckaitė from Institute of Water Resources Engineering, Faculty of Water and Land Management (ASU) participated at Symposium and presented latest scientific results at the section of Natural Resources Management and Environmental Protection. It was great background to be in contact with leading researchers, share own experience and have very fruitful discussions regarding future trends in agriculture.
