This summer was active for some scientists from our university. Scientists from Institute of Business and Rural Development Management were participating in 8th International Scientific Conference ISESS – 2017 Summer Session in Sapporo, Japan. Symposium was devoted to social and economic science. Assoc. professor Jolita Greblikaite and lecturer Rolandas Rakstys were participants in this global event. The organisers of the conference has got 482 intentions to participate in the event covering 42 countries. 230 articles were selected and accepted for publication. In the conference were participating scientists from 26 countries. Researchers from Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, South Africa, Poland, Japan, China and other countries as well as Lithuania were participating in different sections of the conference including Social Sciences and Economics
In the conference, our university researchers were presenting the results of their research. Assoc. Professor Jolita Greblikaite has presented social entrepreneurship issues related with Lithuanian rural areas. The theme is important not only in Lithuania, but in all EU countries. The opinion of scientists form different countries of other continents was interesting and valuable for the researcher. In these countries, different approaches and viewpoints exist. Lecturer Rolandas Rakstys was presenting his results in the field of risk assessment in Lithuanian agricultural plant growing business. For the countries involved in agricultural activity these results are interesting and worth to share.
At the conference Jolita Greblikaite and Rolandas Rakstys developed contacts with scientists from Korea, Taiwan, Australia. It could be perfect start for new future co-operation in the scientific projects and common research areas.
